Près x B Corp

B stands for Benefit
B Corp is a global movement of companies where “B” stands for ‘Benefit’. B Corps are companies that benefit everyone, not just their shareholders. They are purpose-driven companies using business as a force for good.
Frankie is our B Consultant and B Facilitator. He is officially trained by B Lab on how to best assist with B Corp certification and how to use B Lab’s “B Impact Assessment” tool for most impact.

He regularly facilitates B Corp workshops, including co-leading the “Business for Good" Programme with B Lab and New Zealand Trade & Enterprise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some common questions from our customers that may very well give you the answer you are looking for.

FAQ icon

How does B Corp work?

Chevron
B Corps are certified for their positive social and environmental performance using B Lab’s (the non-profit that runs the B Corp certification) “B Impact Assessment” or “BIA”. Companies must score 80 points in the BIA (out of around 220).
FAQ icon

What is the “BIA”?

Chevron
The BIA is about 250 questions assessing a company’s all-round sustainability performance. It gives points for positive impacts and practices. The questions (and their weighting) depend on your industry, size and location.
FAQ icon

Can my business do it?

Chevron
Yes, but it’s a journey. Don’t be fooled by the 80-point threshold – most businesses achieve ~50-60 on their first attempt. You need to be able to prove or have evidence supporting all points achieved. The BIA is comprehensive and digs into every corner of your business.

How much does it cost?

Chevron
Undertaking the BIA is free, with fees applying for the certification process, and then an annual certification fee. These depend on your revenue and can be found on B Lab’s website.
